Work Examples
Below are examples of my work. Scroll down to see everything or click the links below to skip to a section.
Of course, these don’t mean that much without any context, but if you want to know what results I’ve achieved with my work then go to Achievements.

Emails
Below are examples of a few of the emails I have produced over the years. There are many, many more to choose from, but this gives a flavour of my more recent work.
Generally, I lean towards sending simple, plain text marketing emails, as they tend to get higher response rates (and I’ve tested that!). But I’ve selected the more ‘visual’ emails from my repertoire here to show more variety and creativity.
Most of the emails below were built and sent through HubSpot, though I dabbled in MailChimp while at Bananatag and CrowdRiff. Typically they were built using a combination of drag and drop interfaces and my HTML/CSS skills.
The final two examples are from Marie Curie, where email production was more complex and more of a manual process. I would edit the HTML/CSS in Dreamweaver, produce the creative assets in Photoshop, and send the emails through either Dotmailer or Adobe Campaign.
Landing Pages
I designed and built the first three examples in this section for Headstart by combining templates and custom HTML/CSS in HubSpot’s Design Manager. I wrote all copy for these pages and produced the creative using Canva.

The next three landing page examples are from my time at CrowdRiff. Again, I wrote all the copy for these and built them in HubSpot in close collaboration with a designer. Each design was A/B tested to get to this final iteration.

I created the remaining five examples while working at Bananatag. Once again, the copy is mine. These pages also featured heavily customized code and additional scripts to allow us to sync up on-page actions with Salesforce, Woopra, and Google Analytics.

BLOGS & Articles
You can find samples of my short-form copywriting in the landing pages and emails above. I’ve also written various blogs and articles which can give you a taste of my long-form copywriting skills. These are linked below, along with PDFs in case the pages are replaced or misplaced one day.
In many instances, I am not credited (or in the case of Marie Stopes International, my articles were often ghost-written for others), so you’ll just have to believe me when I say I wrote those too!

WEBSITES
My work with websites has ranged from simple content updates, SEO and CRO, to full spec web builds. For the latter, I would start from scratch and develop the website objectives and information architecture first, before moving on to design, content, and the rest.
The websites shown below are examples where I had significant involvement in the website’s creation and ongoing development. Here are live links to the same sites – the CMS used is in brackets:
Headstart (WordPress)
Mariprist and Misoclear (Wagtail)
Marie Stopes International (Drupal)
ExxonMobil Marine (Sitebuilder)
Bananatag for Internal Comms (Wordpress)
Social MEdia
Over the years I have managed numerous business social media accounts, and understand the fundamentals of building and engaging an online community. Below are notable accounts I have been in charge of over the years.
Headstart LinkedIn
Bluelight Analytics Instagram
Marie Stopes Twitter
Bananatag Twitter

Other Stuff
Here’s a mixed bag of other things I’ve done!
Hosting Webinars
While at Bananatag I co-hosted two educational webinars aimed at internal communicators. All content was written by myself and my co-hosts.

Excel Reporting Tool
I created an Excel template to help communicators analyze their email engagement, simply by pasting in their email data. An Excel spreadsheet might not sound amazing, but there’s some impressive formulae in there.
Web Development Project
I took a Web Development Foundation course at Red Academy in 2017, which helped sharpen my existing HTML and CSS skills, and introduced me to Javascript, jQuery and GitHub.
One of the course projects was to build a one page website for an imaginary business of your choice. The web page was built from scratch over the course of a few classes.
